On 8 September 2026, Vojtěch Žák and Věra Koudelková from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics (Matfyz) presented a new digital physics textbook for secondary schools on Czech Television's Studio 6. They brought magnets and a disassembled kitchen appliance into the studio to show how everyday objects can help students appreciate physics.
A new digital textbook from Matfyz helps secondary school students understand electricity and magnetism through everyday questions and experiments. From 24 August 2026, you can find it in the new MFF FutureBooks e-shop. It also gives teachers didactic support for planning their lessons.
FutureBooks is entering its third generation. We rebuilt V3 from the ground up and created an editor that we believe has no competition on the market today. Without any programming knowledge, authors create digital books and interactive educational media (IEM) directly on the final page, assemble them from hundreds of ready-made components, and can collaborate on a single title in real time with other authors, editors and even artificial intelligence. Along the way, they have access to change history, custom visual styles, advanced typography and tools that until recently were the domain of developers.
Each F-book can be saved in your web browser and read even without an internet connection. If your library supports it, it is also possible to save F-books directly in the library. If your library has a mobile app for Android or iOS, the principle remains the same.
